Recently, Italian marine watermaker brand Schenker and air conditioning brand Frigomar have successively introduced major new products, covering the outfitting needs of small-to-medium sailboats, yachts, and superyachts.

Schenker has released the QUBE 30 and ZEN 30 Race watermakers, specifically designed for small yachts. Both units are equipped with a patented energy recovery system, producing 30 liters of fresh water per hour at a power consumption of only 110 watts, and are compatible with 12/24V marine electrical systems. The QUBE 30 weighs 22.5 kg, featuring a compact design for easy installation and maintenance. The race-specific ZEN 30 Race is 28% lighter at just 16.4 kg, achieving extreme weight reduction to meet the demands of extreme racing competitions.

Meanwhile, Frigomar has launched the CU210 high-capacity marine water chiller, delivering a cooling capacity of 210,000 BTU/h and targeting large yachts and superyachts.

The CU210VFDT raises maximum cooling and heating capacity to 210,000 BTU/h, a 16.7% increase over the 180,000 BTU/h model. What matters to the designer is that this gain comes with no change to the footprint (540 × 600 × 670 mm), weight, power supply (400 V three-phase, 50-60 Hz) or refrigerant (R410A). In the engine room and on the switchboard, where space and available power are limited resources, this means more air-conditioning capacity at the same size and power consumption.

Like the entire CU Series, the CU210 uses Variable Frequency Drive technology: the system modulates capacity to the actual onboard demand, from ECO mode to full load, avoiding the on/off cycling typical of fixed-speed systems, always running at the lowest frequency required.

The unit is built with marine-grade corrosion-resistant materials to withstand salt spray, humidity, and hull vibration. Its optimized refrigeration circuit balances powerful cooling with energy efficiency, while its compact body and intelligent control system can be integrated with marine management platforms.

These new products align with the yachting industry's trend toward lightweight and low-energy consumption development. From fresh water supply to cabin air conditioning, they complete the outfitting solutions for vessels of different sizes and purposes, offering customers more choices.
